KwaMashu hostel shooting: Tip-off helps police arrest suspect
Updated | By Christopher Motabogi
A task-team established to investigate killings at Durban's notorious Kwamashu-Hostel has arrested a 35-year old suspect.
The police's Thulani Zwane says the man is due to appear in the Verulam Magistrate's Court this afternoon.
Earlier this month four men were shot dead execution style at the hostel north of Durban.
Another two people were killed a few days later.

Zwane has attributed the arrest to a community tip-off and is encouraging anyone with information on any other killings there to come forward.
"When the police sorted out the information, they managed to spot the suspect and they arrested him. He was found in position of a 9mm pistol together with 46 ammunitions.
"We are still going send the firearm to ballistic to check if it was used in any crime in the hostel and other areas as well," he said.
