KwaMashu hostel residents living in fear
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Some KwaMashu hostel residents say they remain fearful because the root cause of killings at the facility has not been established.
The hostel has been dubbed a "slaughter house" by residents living in the township due to the ongoing killings.
There's been speculation in the past that these are politically motivated.
Thandeka Dladla who lives in the hostel says the violence makes her feel unsafe most of the time.
However she does believe that change is coming.
Dladla registered to vote for the first time yesterday.
"Voting is important because your vote makes a difference in your life," she said.
