Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A KwaMashu family is receiving counselling after three of their loved ones, including a four-year-old girl, were killed in a house fire in J-section, north of Durban.
64-year-old Fikelephi Mzimela, 28-year-old Mbali Mzimela, and her daughter Emihle Nyembe lost their lives on Tuesday.
Investigations are yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
Mhlaba Memela, who's with KZN Social Development, says social workers have been assisting the family.
"A team of social workers have been mandated to go to the family and ensure that they actually provide psycho-social support and assist that family with any other things that they might need.
"In accidents like this, it always leaves people with significant impact. People often get shocked by such things."
