The KwaDukuza Municipality has begun an operation to take those involved with illegal electrical connections off its grid.

"Over 58 million is being owed to the municipality as of September. This includes illegal connections and other losses.

He says they will be removing all those who have tampered with the grid and act decisively at ensuring that they face the full might of the law.
"All praise is due to those who pay for their services and who are honest. We will not praise those who steal energy and who are enablers of such crimes," he says.
