KwaDukuza ANC offices reopened, services resume
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
KwaDukuza officials say there's no truth to reports of a rates boycott - after the temporary closure of the local municipal offices.

They were reopened yesterday after a days-long protest by irate ANC members, was called off.
The municipality says the decision to close its doors wasn't an easy one - but it had to think about the safety of its staff.
Protests broke out in the CBD a week ago after disgruntled ANC members took to the streets over false claims that murder convicted former regional secretary, Musa Zondi, will be reinstated.

KwaDukuza's Sipho Mkhize says there were service interruptions - but everything's up and running again.
"No one has complained about municipal services. They were opportunist in the process because services were not bring provided in the main refuse collection. They had wanted to do their own thing on the side which si something that is very childish in our view," Mkhize said.
