Kuli Roberts family speaks of 'profound sadness' at death of media personality

The family of media personality Kuli Roberts has confirmed her passing.
In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, they say Roberts died on Wednesday night in Johannesburg.
She was 49.
Her family say they are profoundly saddened by her death and have asked South Africans to keep them in their prayers.
"Affectionately known and loved by her friends, family, and the South African entertainment industry at large, Kuli Roberts was an all-round media personality who was always the life of any gathering.
"Her love for family, friends, work and very importantly her community is well known," the statement read.
During her career in the media industry, Roberts worked as a magazine fashion and beauty editor, and later hosted TV and radio shows.
She is survived by two children, a grandchild, her parents and three siblings.
The family says it will release memorial and funeral service details at a later stage.
"The Roberts and Mboya family are deeply thankful for all the countless personal messages of love and support received thus far. These are appreciated."
