Updated | By Suné du Toit
Residents of the Eden District Municipality have been left devastated following widespread veld fires in the Knysna area.

Disaster Management Services are continuing to monitor the fires in the area, with farming communities around Buffelsbaai being evacuated and taken to the town.
Reporter, Gerda de Sousa spoke to a Knysna resident, who wants to remain anonymous, in the aftermath of the fires in the coastal town.
This man says on top of the pain and devastation, he has to commend residents who open their hearts and homes to those who have been left destitute.
