King Zwelithini's will to be read behind closed doors
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The Zulu royal family is expected to gather for the reading of King Goodwill Zwelithini's will.
The 72-year-old monarch was laid to rest in the early hours of this morning.
An official memorial service was held for him earlier today at the Khetomthandayo Royal Palace in Nongoma - with President Cyril Ramaphosa delivering the eulogy.
Earlier this afternoon, a large group of the King's amabutho or warriors converged outside the palace gates and demanded that police give them access so they can mourn the king.

Following a forced entry by a large number of amabutho, calm has been restored at the palace. Now that the memorial has concluded, it is expected for the King's will to be readout.
There was some uncertainty around this aspect but it has been confirmed that this will take place behind closed doors.
As to whether this will include the announcement of his successor, this is something only time will time tell and will have to wait and play by ear.
