King Shaka to benefit from ACSA's massive infrastructure plans

King Shaka International will be one of ACSA airports set to benefit from R21.7 billion allocated for infrastructure development.

The airport's General Manager, Nkosinathi Myataza, says the investment will focus on renovations and security enhancements over the next five years.
"We are talking about local efforts and regional efforts and then linking the region to the sub-continent. We want to look at how we start getting into a space where we can offer hotels and conferencing spaces within the hotel."

Myataza says both local and national airports want to improve efficiency.
He says they will be looking at ways to boost traffic at the Africa Travel Indaba taking place at the Durban ICC this week.
