King Misuzulu appoints new Zulu prime minister
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Amazulu King Misuzulu Ka Zwelithini has announced the new
traditional Prime Minister of
the Zulu nation.

People of my ancestors, here's the opportunity you have been waiting for. You may recall that I fasted and prayed about this, and God gave me clarity on this.
Because I am a believer, I cannot rule such a big nation and ignore the existence of God. I've appointed Thulasizwe Buthelezi as the traditional prime minister.
The IFP mayor---- of the Zululand District will be replacing the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi who died in September last year.
The King has also appointed the current chairperson of the House of Traditional Leaders Inkosi Phathisizwe Chiliza in a newly created position of deputy traditional prime minister.
He says Buthelezi's appointment was not politically motivated.

He announced this during the commemoration of the Battle of Isandlwana the Zulu in northern KZN yesterday.
"Remember that I stated that my decision is not a political thing. If you see it that way, you would be gravely misguided.
He says he appointed him as per the Zulu customs because he will be a servant of the nation, of the people.
"With these words, people of my ancestors, I wish to add that the person I will appoint today fortunately i have worked with him, he has also worked with the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi."
He is aware of how diligent the prince was."
