Keeping Zuma out of jail 'will help maintain stability' in KZN, says ANC
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The ANC in KZN says keeping Jacob Zuma out of prison will help maintain stability in the province after his arrest last year led to widespread looting and unrest.
The party's been commenting on Monday's Supreme Court of Appeal outcome.
The SCA ruled that the decision to grant Zuma medical parole was unlawful, saying that the former president should return to jail.
It's left the decision on how much jail time Zuma should be given up to the Commissioner of Correctional Services.

"I think we all know that the department always had the view that it's decision to release President Zuma on parole and the time he spent outside Estcourt Correctional Centre is also included in serving his sentence because he was under supervision," said the party's provincial secretary Bheki Mtolo.
"We know that the commission will take a good decision, at least because the Supreme Court of Appeal has explained the separation of powers."
