Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda has called on police to move with speed in the pursuit and
arrest of suspects that shot and killed a municipal employee.
The staffer was killed while on duty on Monday.
It's alleged the municipal worker was in his office on Electron Road in Springfield Park when three gunmen entered and fired multiple shots at him.
The 50-year-old man was declared dead on scene by paramedics.

The motive behind the murder is unclear at this stage.
Municipal spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela says Kaunda wants to see arrests.
"The mayor calls for law enforcement agencies to move with speed and arrest murderers. The police must leave no stone unturned and ensure that these criminals face the full might of the law.
"This was a family man and his family was expecting him to come back home and some rogues chose the contrary. We send our heartfelt condolences to the family and those who were working closely with him."
