Kaunda condemns killing of municipal intern

eThekwini Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda has condemned the killing of a municipal intern.
Luyanda Cele, 24, was reported missing three days before her body was found in Durban's South Beach area.
The Umlazi woman disappeared on Friday after she left work to join friends for drinks.
The grim discovery of her mutilated body was made near the Metro Lodge.
Cele worked as an intern as the Municipality's Occupational Health and Safety Unit.

Kaunda's called on the police to work quickly to track down her killer.
"Luyanda Cele was young and had a bright future ahead of her. She has been prevented from reaching her full potential as her life has been cut short. I extend my sincere condolences to those who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in peace.
“As the leadership of eThekwini Municipality, I strongly condemn this senseless killing and I urge police to ensure that the person who has committed such a heartless crime, faces the full might of the law."
