“Jub Jub” rape case postponed to December
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The case against rapper and TV presenter Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye has been postponed to December.
He briefly appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
In July, the Maarohanye handed himself over to the police following a warrant that was issued for his arrest on three counts of rape, two of attempted murder and one of assault.

Some of the charges date back to 2006.
He is currently out on R10 000 bail.
"You are warned to be back at court on the 11th of December at 8:30,” Magistrate Bettie Khumalo said.
“It’s still a remand because there are further particulars being sorted by your legal representative, and as well as the state needs more time to consult with the witnesses."
"So, I'm of the view that I don't want any excuses from both parties that on the next court date, a trial date has to be set because investigations have already been concluded, so there is no point in wasting time."
