Jobs Summit to engage solutions to unemployment
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
Business says the jobs summit that's kicked off today in Midrand is a great opportunity to earnestly tackle South Africa's spiralling unemployment.
It's brought government, labour and business under one roof - to deliberate on job challenges.
President Cyril Ramaphosa convened the summit after announcing it in his State of the Nation Address earlier this year.
Business Leadership South Africa's CEO, Bonang Mohale says this colloquy is long overdue.
"Business is very excited that at last we are going to have a much-needed conversation for a new social compact," Mohale said.
