Jobs scam warning
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
The KZN Department of Health is warning the public - especially unemployed youth - to be weary of fake vacancy adverts on social media.
This after a poster calling for people to apply for positions at the Dr Pixley ka Isaka Seme Memorial Hospital, which is still under construction, in KwaMashu, north of Durban.
MEC Sbongiseni Dhlomo says they never make use such ads. He says scammers can steal their personal Information using the department's insignia.
"Please, people, do not be confused by fake news. We will announce vacancies at the right time and we will do it via credible newspapers and the department' website - not through fake news making the rounds", he said.
