UPDATE: Presidency confirms Jiba, Mrwebi dismissed from NPA office
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The Presidency has confirmed advocates, Nomgcobo Jiba and Lawrence Mrwebi have been fired.

The two senior NPA officials have been given their marching orders by President Cyril Ramaphosa after the Mokgoro Commission found them unfit to hold office.
They'd been accused of improper conduct and political influence.
Earlier this year - the state capture commission of inquiry heard that Jiba - who was the deputy NPA head - and Mrwebi had taken bribes from BOSASA.
Former BOSASA COO Angelo Agrizzi told the commission the bribes were in exchange for stopping any prosecution of BOSASA and its executives.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has ended the tenure in the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) of advocates Nomgcobo Jiba and Lawrence Mrwebi, as recommended by the Mokgoro Enquiry into the fitness of the two officials to hold office. https://t.co/PuKQX0rpWx

In 2014 - the KZN High Court found a decision by Jiba to charge former KZN Hawks boss - Johan Booysen with murder and racketeering unlawful and irrational.
Jiba was later charged with fraud and perjury over that decision.
