January fuel price drop brings relief to many

Some motorists say the fuel price dip at the pumps is a much-needed New Year’s gift.

The costs of both grades of petrol have decreased by 62 cents and 76 cents per litre.
Diesel also droppedat midnight by between R1, 18 and R1, 26 per litre, depending on the grade.
One woman Newswatch spoke to says it’s going to help manage her budget over January.
"It will definatley help in January expcially with us going back to work, that little bit does help
One man says the price cuts will bring relief to many families.
"It is a much better way to start the new year, now only for people who own cars but also for parents who have kids who travel with public transport to school. This means much more savings for us."
