Energy Dept confirms January fuel price drop

Motorists are driving into the the New Year off on a high note, with fuel prices confirmed to drop in January.

The decreases are set to kick in on Wednesday.
Energy Department spokesperson, Robert Maake says a drop in crude oil prices, international petroleum product prices are some of the reasons behind the fuel price adjustments.
"Petrol (93 ULP & LRP): Sixty-two cents per litre decrease. Petrol (95 ULP & LRP): Seventy-six cents per litre decrease. Diesel (0.05% sulphur): One hundred and eighteen pont three two cents per litre decrease.
"Diesel (0.005% sulphur): One hundred and twenty-six point three two cents per litre decrease. Illuminating Paraffin (wholesale): Ninety-three cents per litre decrease."
