Jacobs Road flat fire extinguished

Firefighters have brought a fire burning at a block of flats on Jacobs Road, south of Durban, under control.

The blaze broke out in one of the flats on Thursday morning.
The fire department's Thabile Zikhali says six rooms had caught alight.
The flames had already burned through the roof.
"We are currently damping down. The fire has been extinguished.
"There were no injuries. Everyone was accounted for. Only the content that was inside the house that was damaged."
