Isipingo man killed in alleged attempted hijacking
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
An Isipingo man has been shot dead in what police believe was an attempted hijacking.

The man was allegedly gunned down by two unknown suspects in Lotus Drive, south of Durban at about 7pm last night.
Police say it appears as if the motorist was shot when he showed resistance.
The suspects are then believed to have fled the scene.
Emergency services say the victim was found inside the vehicle.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says the man died on scene.
"When we arrived there we found that the man was driving up Lotus Drive when gunmen opened fire on him. He had sustained a very critical wound. His vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a gatepost of a nearby house.
"We found the man still slumped over in the car but tragically he had died due to the very extensive injuries he had sustained," he said.
