Isipingo beaches reopened after shark spotted
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The KZN Sharks Board says beaches in Isipingo, south of Durban, have reopened this morning.

This after a great white shark was spotted in waters close by. The board’s Mike Anderson-Reade says the shark was first seen at Reunion Beach.
"Four divers were in the water at Reunion Beach. They were spear fishing and basically were irritated by a white shark. Life guards then called off bathing at Isipingo beach, which is the nearest beach to that, adjacent to Reunion Beach, as a precautionary measure", he said.
Anderson-Reade says they will be keeping a close eye on the beach.
"This is not uncommon. White sharks do come up in the winter", Anderson-Reade said.
