IPID probing deadly Westville shootout between cops, robbers

Police watchdog IPID says
their investigators are probing Friday's deadly shootout in Westville.
Three suspected robbers were killed in a shootout with police at a shopping complex in Westville yesterday.
It's understood that a man had just withdrawn money from a bank when he was approached by armed suspects and robbed.
They fled the scene in two getaway vehicles.

Police found one of the vehicles along Dudley Road and a high-speed chase ensued before the suspects allegedly opened fire.
"Investigations will be continuing with regards to the death of those people," says IPID spokesperson Robbie Raburabu.
