IPID launches probe after cop allegedly kills man
Police watchdog IPID is probing an Inanda-based police officer who has been accused of murder.
The constable allegedly shot and killed Zwekele Hlongwa in Amaoti in October.
IPID says he was arrested on Wednesday after investigators linked him to the crime.
Spokesperson Sontaga Seisa says Patrick Nhlanhlna Goge appeared before court and was granted bail of R2 500.
Goge will appear in court on 13 February.
