IPID investigating alleged hostage situation at SARS

The Independent Police Investigative directorate (IPID) is investigating an alleged hostage situation at SARS last week.
The Mail and Guardian obtained video of the incident where SARS official, Vlok Symington, is allegedly prevented from leaving his office by Hawks officials.
One of the men in the video is said to be a bodyguard of SARS Commissioner, Tom Moyane.
SARS has issued a short statement, saying they are aware of the reports and the video.
It's believed that Symington was approached in his office, to retrieve an email, that was sent to him by mistake and could potentially be damaging to the NPA's fraud case against Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.
"To the extent that the matter relates to members of the Hawks, the enquiries must be directed to the relevant law enforcement agency. Where SARS employees are concerned, a full investigation will be conducted and a public statement issued," the statement reads.
