Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Authorities are investigating the events leading up to the death of a 45-year-old woman on the R102 outside Mount Moriah, north of Durban yesterday.

The woman had allegedly been crossing the road when she was knocked over by a passing motorist. Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the driver of the vehicle has already been identified.
"The Phoenix SAPS have opened a case of culpable homicide for further investigation", he said.
"This will establish details leading up to how she was hit by the vehicle along with the extent of injuries she sustained. No arrest was made", Zwane said.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a delivery bike near Sheffield Beach, on the north coast, yesterday evening.
IPSS Medical Rescue says the biker was treated for moderate injuries.
