Inquest docket opened after human remains found near Cato Manor

Police have opened an inquest docket after a skeleton was found in Durban's Cato Crest area, near Cato Manor this week.
It is understood that locals who were erecting informal dwellings in the area made the grisly discovery on Tuesday morning.
The remains are thought to be that of a woman. Police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"An inquest docket is being investigated by Cato Manor police after human remains were found in the bushes by the people who were erecting shacks in Cato Crest," Gwala said.
Meanwhile, Ntuzuma police have opened a case of concealment of birth after a male foetus was found in a drain in E Section on Tuesday afternoon.

"A case of concealment of birth is being investigated by Ntuzuma police after an incident where a foetus was found inside a drain in Ntuzuma," she said.
