INFOGRAPHIC: KZN Crime Stats 2016/17

The Minister of Police has today in Parliament released the annual report on crime statistics in SA. Murder has increased by 1, 8% - with a rise in cases in four of the country's nine provinces. There have been 19016 reported cases of murder - that's at least 52 murders a day. In KZN, an increase has been noted in murders, hijackings, and residential robberies. Rape cases have seen a 3.8% decrease from 7307 in 2015/16 to 7032 during the 2016/17 cycle. See details of the province's crime stats below.
