Addressing the BRICS Business Council, President Jacob Zuma says the various BRICS summits and the BRICS Business Council have proven they can be catalysts for economic growth.

The meeting formed part of the Eighth BRICS Summit held in Goa, India this weekend.
The council's focus areas include infrastructure, manufacturing, financial services and energy.
Zuma says council has done well so far.
"Various BRICS undertakings need to culminate in growing investments and expanding value added trade within BRICS which should also support integration of global value chains," he said.
The Goa Declaration and Action Plan - led by council members and leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - was adopted at the summit.
Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi says BRICS needs to be an influential voice on global issues.
"The emerging, regional and global challenges require a robust co-operation and resolute action. I'm confident of success and growth of BRICS," he said.
In 2013, South Africa hosted the Fifth BRICS Summit in Durban.
