Inauguration costs cut in half: Dlamini-Zuma
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Minister in the Presidency, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma says the presidential inauguration will cost over R100 million rand less than the previous inauguration.

At a briefing in Pretoria earlier, she confirmed the event would be held at Loftus Versveld Stadium next Saturday, instead of the Union Buildings.
"The choice of the venue was determined by a number of factors. The cost. The other important reason is that there is going to be an inclusive programme with everyone witnessing everything at the same time - as oppose to some being in the ampithearte and others in the loft."
But Dlamini-Zuma says they're unable to say exactly how much the event will cost - yet.
“The total cost of the inauguration, you will get after the inauguration. It will be more than a R100-million less," she said.
She says the inauguration in 2014 was staged at over R240 million.
