IN PICTURES: KZN heavy rains aftermath

The heavy rains that battered KZN this week have claimed several lives and left a trail of destruction.
Three people were killed when their homes collapsed in Inanda, north of Durban on Wednesday night during heavy rains prompting officials to order mass evacuations.

The M4 highway between Umhlanga and Sibaya washed away due to the heavy rains on Friday. In Queensburgh, south of Durban a water pipe burst on Wednesday that led to the collapse of an embankment.

Durban Metro Police said several routes were affected due to heavy rains, mudslides and wash aways.
On Friday morning ECR traffic reporter Jayshree Parasuramen and Reaction Unit South Africa took to the skies for an aerial view of the destruction.
