iLembe residents warned of water shutdown

Umgeni Water's shut down the Lower Thukela pipeline for repairs on Friday morning.

The utility's Shami Harichunder says there is a big leak which needs urgent attention.
He says over a dozen areas in the iLembe area will be affected.
"The pipeline supplies water from Mandeni to a large part of iLembe."

"During the 12-hour shutdown, there are at least 18 areas within iLembe that will be affected by not receiving water.
"The areas include Blythedale, Zinkwazi, all of Stanger, Shakaville, Townview, Melville a few other areas that also include Nonoti."
