Ilembe businesses hit hard by community protests

Local companies on the north coast say business has been adversely affected due to drawn-out protest action.

Owners in the iLembe District Municipality say community-led demonstrations, that are sometimes unruly, have dealt a blow to operations.
Andy Horton with the Chamber of Commerce says while they acknowledge people's right to protest - they believe some service delivery demonstrations are being used as a political tool.
He's highlighted the unrest in the Isithebe business hub recently, where community protests continued for five days.
The Chamber and economic development agency, Enterprise Ilembe - held a media briefing to highlight their concerns and challenges.
