IFP Youth Brigade plans to revive student leadership
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
Mthokozisi Nxumalo, the IFP Youth Brigade's new chairperson, says there are plans to revive the party's youth structures.

He was elected at a weekend conference in Ulundi.
Nxumalo says another priority is to get more young people interested in politics - a call made by IFP President Mangosuthu Buthelezi during his address to delegates on Saturday.
Buthelezi asked that the new leadership revive the party's student movement SADESMO which has weakened over the years.

Nxumalo says plans to mobilise the student wing will be implemented soon.
"People vacate their position and go into the work environment - leaving the structures without any leadership. So we need people who are going to work towards ensuring Sadesmo exists and not just come up during the time of elections."
