IFP wants Cele to clarify assassination claims by EFF
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The IFP has called on the police minister to clarify assassination allegations that have been levelled against the party by the EFF.

The red berets have claimed the IFP is plotting to kill EFF secretary-general Marshall Dlamini - an accusation the IFP has rubbished.
EFF leader Julius Malema claims Minister Bheki Cele told Dlamini about the alleged threat.
The accusation follows the collapse of coalition talks between the two parties.
The IFP's Mkhuleko Hlengwa says the EFF has failed to produce a shred of evidence to back up the claim.
"The IFP welcomes the SAPS’s clarification that it has no knowledge of an alleged assassination plot against the EFF’s SG.
"However, in discussions between Minister Cele and the IFP, the minister claimed to have no knowledge of the briefing regarding the alleged threat against the EFF SG.
"The IFP therefore calls on Minister Cele to speak up and provide an official response regarding the alleged briefing, so that the dangerous allegations against the IFP can be set aside, once and for all."
