Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The IFP has criticised the ANC's appointment of Bongi Sithole-Moloi as an MEC in KZN.
Sithole-Moloi took over the Department of Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation in the recent provincial Cabinet reshuffle.
She had previously been removed as mayor of Umgungundlovu following allegations of corruption.
The IFP's Mangosuthu Buthelezi took a swipe at the move while addressing supporters in Umlazi yesterday.
IFP's Mangosuthu Buthelezi speaks against political violence
"Corrupt people are not punished in our country - in fact they are resettled and put into Parliament positions. Corruption stinks to high heavens in our country and it is not the way it should be," he said.
Allegations against Sithole-Moloi were never taken to court.
