12 wards across nine municipalities are set to hold by-elections in KZN on Wednesday.

Last month, KZN Cooperative Governance MEC Sipho Hlomuka warned Mtubatuba councillors to put their differences aside and focus on service delivery.

This council is also one of nine in the province that is currently under administration.

The move came after a forensic report revealed issues of poor governance as well as fraud and corruption.
