IFP holds final election rally in Richards Bay

Sunday saw the final push for political parties to try and win votes ahead of Wednesday’s general elections.
The IFP hosted its final rally in Richards Bay.
IFP supporters have begun filling the 4,000-seater UMhlathuze Central Sports Complex in Richards Bay from early on Sunday morning.
Banners featuring the face of the party’s founder, the late Mangosuthu Buthelezi, filled the complex,
There was a jovial mood in the air, with many IFP supporters proclaiming the party as their hope for a better future in South Africa.
While proceedings were delayed, supporters were entertained with music before the event officially kicked off.
The programme will feature speeches by the women’s and youth brigade of the IFP, with the main speech by IFP President Velenkosini Hlabisa taking place later on Sunday afternoon.
