IEC's Dr Nomsa Masuku in court for R1.2m fraud
Updated | By Lauren Hendricks
The Independent Electoral Commission's Dr Nomsa Masuku has appeared in court on fraud charges to the tune of over a million rand.

The 62-year-old was arrested by the Hawks on Friday morning and lined up in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
Hawks spokesperson Katlego Mogale says the matter relates to an R1.2 million fraud investigation into Masuku when she worked at Standard Bank.
She was the Head of the bank's CSI Programme for the "Adopt A School Trust".
"Through an intensive probe, the Hawks investigators established that the incumbent flaunted the processes of the trust by awarding scholarships to friends and family members through manipulation of documents and without the approval of the committee with some of the monies deposited directly into her personal bank account to the tune of R1.2 million."
Masuku was granted R20 000 bail.
