IEC results dashboard crashes
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Independent Electoral Commission results dashboard went down at the IEC operations centre in Durban.
Just after 6:30 on Friday morning all votes returned to zero on the dash board at the centre of the KZN ROC.
This went on for some time. Just after 7 a.m., there seemed to be no change, and then IEC officials began rushing around, getting up from their desks, and making phone calls.
It was then confirmed that the dashboard had indeed crashed.

On the results portal on the IEC website, the results dashboard also reflects figures of zero for the national results, while the provincial results have not changed.
The IEC says they are working on restoring services.
The results system is still operational, and local offices continue to capture results.
The IEC results board had crashed at the National Results Operations Centre.
