IEC ready for 2016 voter registration weekend

Provincial Electoral Officer, Mawethu Mosery says IEC preparations ahead of the voter registration weekend are going smoothly.

He says all scanner machines and registration forms have been distributed to voting stations across KZN.
Mosery is urging first-time voters to come out in their numbers and register tomorrow and on Sunday.

"They will get a first-time opportunity to elect their government and their leader. We also encourage every other citizen who have changed residence in the last two years to go and register where they now reside.
"So it's also important for those individuals as well," he said.
