IEC extends cut-off time for candidate submissions
Updated | By Eva Chipa
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) says candidates intending to contest the upcoming local government elections now have until 9pm on Monday to submit their candidate lists.
The initial deadline was the end of business today.
The polls are due to be held on 27 October, but the IEC wants to postpone it until February due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
