Chief Electoral Officer Sy Mamabolo says the voters' roll will be certified on Tuesday.

It will be published by making it available at the commission’s head office. Each of the nine provincial offices and all municipal offices."

The IEC has also released the preliminary findings of an investigation into leaked political party candidate lists.

Parties and independent candidates had until last Friday to submit their documentation.

But hours later, the ANC and uMkhonto we Sizwe Party candidate lists were published on social media.

Mamabolo said an inquiry was launched immediately, and one official's been implicated.

“The investigation has narrowed the source of the disclosure to a workstation that has been used to generate and store those reports.

“Later, the said reports were deleted from the workstation and that workstation was secured and imaged in the presence of the official whose credentials were used to generate those reports."
