I have never lied about my matric qualification: Motsoeneng
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
The former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng says he has never lied about his matric qualification and will not go back to school.

Motsoeneng had been responding to a question posed about his qualifications during a briefing in Auckland Park, Johannesburg.
"All these people sitting here have qualifications. If you can take me head-on, they know I can mesmerise them because I have done it. I did not read it from a book. If you go to Exco where we make resolutions - you'll realise the person who is influencing decisions onSABC's broadcasting issues is me," he said.
This briefing is being held after the board appeared before Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Communications yesterday.
Earlier, the chairperson of the SABC board Mbulaheni Maguvhe says the board wants to set the record straight after their fitness and propriety was questioned.
Maguvhe said they are being attacked for wanting to stop corruption at the public broadcaster.
"The problem in South Africa is that those of us who are doing our work diligently - who want to root out corruption and other malpractices - are not liked. There was a board in 2009 which had the same problems - people not declaring their interest and those who were involved in fraudulent practices. That was the board under Dr. Ngubani - do you know what happened to it?" he said.
Motsoeneng: "In Hlaudi you have a different person. The more I hear that noise the more I go to it. I'm not a coward." #SABCBoard pic.twitter.com/4rNEv8iAZe
