Husband, wife seriously injured in Mobeni hostel shooting
Two people have been hurt following a shooting incident at a hostel in the Mobeni area, south of Durban.
A husband and wife were shot at the SJ Smith Hostel at about 11.30pm yesterday.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says the circumstances leading to the shooting are not known.
"One was in a critical condition while the other one sustained a serious wound. The paramedics worked on scene for quite some time to stabilise the two patients before transporting them through to a nearby hospital.

"The SAP arrived on scene and they're doing an investigation into the incident," he said.
Meanwhile, two people were killed in a separate shooting incident in Pietermaritzburg last night.
A man and a woman died at the Raise-thorpe residence. A third person sustained serious injuries.
