Hunt for suspects in Wentworth abduction, rape case
Updated | By Zongile Mthimkhulu
KwaZulu-Natal police are appealing for help in tracking down suspects wanted for allegedly abducting a 16-year-old girl in Wentworth, south of Durban.
It is believed the teenager had been walking home from church over a week ago when a blue seven-seater vehicle stopped next to her and its occupants pretended to ask for directions.
The police's Thulani Zwane says she was then apparently bundled into the vehicle and blindfolded her with a cloth.
"It is alleged that she was taken to a house where she was allegedly raped. While she was in that room, it is alleged that she met a another girl who was also [being kept] in the same room.
"She managed to escape and she opened a case at the Wentworth Police Station. The matter is being investigated," he said.
Below are the identikits of the suspects that have been released by SAPS.
