Hundreds arrested in KZN festive anti-crime campaign
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
KZN police say their festive season campaign, launched at the beginning of the month, is already yielding positive results.
Spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says they have seen an increase in the number of arrests during this period.
"So far, we have already arrested more than 2000 suspects of various crimes in the province as of the November 2. These suspects were arrested for murder, rape, assault GBH as well as business robberies and other serious crimes," he says.
Officers have been targeting gangs and syndicates operating in crime hotspots across the province.

Zwane says they are calling on communities to help make KZN safer.
"We are also appealing to our community members - please work together with police and give information that might lead to arrests of suspects who are terrorising our province," he says.
