Human skull discovered in Verulam

A human skull has been found in a dense bush in Verulam, north of Durban.

The discovery was made by a worker who called security guards yesterday. A police team was then dispatched to recover the remains.

Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says some tests will be done on the remains.
"DNA analysis will be done to determine the cause of death, possible date of birth as well as the identity", she said.
"Verulam police are investigating an inquest and circumstances around the incident", Mbhele said.
The discovery comes after a decomposed body was found lying in a bush in Isipingo, south of Durban. An inquest docket has been opened in that case
