Human Rights Day: Gender Unit professor says inequality still the enemy
Updated | By Nothando Mkhize
As South Africans commemorate Human Rights Day today a University Professor is reminding us of the Golden Rule - 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'.

Juliana Claassens who's Stellenbosch University's Head of the Gender Unit says this will enable citizens to recognise themselves as one.
She says this will help citizens understand the damage gender inequality has caused in our society.
"Human Rights Day reminds that feminism is the radical notion that women are people with subjectivity, rights, dreams, hopes and being able to say what they want without fear discrimination", Claassens said.
"So I think Human Rights Day reminds us that we are not there yet and we need to do so through education and raising awareness in order to achieve a world where women are appreciated", she said.
