Hlomuka to tackle water issues in Zululand District
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
KZN Transport MEC Sipho Hlomuka has urged the Zululand District mayor to urgently deal with the water shortages in the area.
Disgruntled residents have been complaining about a lack of water since March this year - pleading with government to intervene.
The MEC spoke at a meeting with King MisuZulu kaZwelithini in Ulundi on Friday.
"We're going to engage district leadership to produce infrastructure plans to give our people water," Hlomuka said.
Hlomuka says they will work with district officials to resolve the issue.
They will also work with the provincial government through Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) KZN and also national Water and Sanitation to provide basic services to our people."
